WHAT IS THIS EXPERIENCE ABOUT
The Secret of Yoga is an invitation to discover the doors of self-knowledge that are opened when one does a conscious practice with precise tools, on and off the mat. In a seven-day retreat, we will share with you how yoga really works beyond asanas, because our body is such a reflection of our mind that we have an enormous capacity to make it sick, but also all the power to heal it.
There lies the most beautiful secret: if we understand that divine union we can be free from the suffering that originates in our minds, to live in contentment and love, which is our pure essence. If we understand that in the end we do Yoga not only for ourselves but for others, we will enter the state of perfection in our lives.
Yoga offers us the path to liberation by focusing on the responsibility we have in creating our own reality. If we pay attention to the seeds we plant, we will have the ability to germinate a thriving garden filled with nothing but beautiful things.
“If we could cultivate certain seeds purposely, and destroy undesirable seeds; then I don’t see any reason why we couldn’t eventually see ourselves, see our very own body, flesh and blood, turn into light, sort of the ultimate yoga pose”. From the Book ‘How Yoga Works’, by Geshe Michael Roach.
To guide you along this path, we will have several experiences in the jungle, the river and the sea that will allow us to connect with the source of which we are part and to understand why we are interconnected with everything and everyone.
WHAT TO EXPECT
– Daily practices of the Ashtanga Yoga method that we have learned from different teachers around the world and that we share today from a very genuine place of love and respect for each practitioner. The lineage combines a sequence of postures that focus on the coordination of movement and breathing, with prana being the central axis of energy throughout the practice. In the group experience, each student is guided on her/his mat at her/his own pace and knowledge, so all levels are welcome.
– Exploration of the eight branches of Yoga: Yamas, Niyamas, Asanas, Pranayamas, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and samadhi.
– Deep dive into the Yoga Sutras to understand how to incorporate them into our daily lives and achieve lasting transformation.
– Buddhist meditation practices focused on individual and collective healing.
– Satsangs (talks) about emotional intelligence, the chakras, the states of the mind, its conditioning and ways to purify it. What is karma, death and how to transcend it. And how to balance the feminine and masculine energies (Shakti and Shiva) that live within all of us.

After being a journalist for almost two decades covering complex situations of physical and emotional trauma, Jenny found Yoga 15 years ago and with it a definitive door to her own healing. Nowadays she knows that the path of self-knowledge and spirituality is an unequivocal guide on how to live consciously. In 2019 she did two Yoga teacher training in India, in two renowned schools in Rishikesh and Mysore and since then she has been teaching in places such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Italy and of course his native Colombia. She loves to guide others in listening to that inner guru who has answers to all concerns, through classes, workshops and retreats. She is currently finishing another Ashtanga Yoga teacher training with her beloved teacher, John Scott. At the beginning of 2024, together with Jimy, Jenny opened the first Ashtanga Yoga school in Colombia, Moksha Medellín.
He has been teaching yoga for almost 17 years, of which 11 have been dedicated to sharing the traditional practice of Ashtanga Yoga in various cities in his native Colombia, as well as in retreats in Mexico, India and the United States. In the science of Yoga he found a profound spiritual transformation that led him to discover that he is responsible and creator of his experience on this material plane. In addition to practicing alongside renowned teachers around the world, in 2019 he had the opportunity to study for three months in Mysore, India at the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute with the teacher Saraswathi Jois and at the Sharath Yoga Center with Sharath Jois, owner of the Ashtanga Yoga lineage. At the beginning of 2024, together with Jenny, Jimy opened the first Ashtanga Yoga school in Colombia, Moksha Medellín.
